What's New in the Tin Roof Art Studio Shop

I've been a busy bee, painting and painting. My shop is full of all kind of new goodies - please let me show you around! And if you're coming over from Jemma's blog and her "Etsy Christmas Shops Features", welcome!
My shop is not an Etsy shop - you find it right here on the blog under the Pages headings - Tin Roof Studio Artwork For Sale. You don't have to go to a separate link and it's easy for me to keep it updated! Here's a peek at what's new!

First up, is my Rustic Christmas collection:
These are small acrylic paintings (from 2.5" x 3.5" to 4" x 5" canvases) mounted on a piece of rustic board, ready to display on a small stand or propped among Christmas greenery.

Next, are the Christmas Collection paintings. They are larger in size- 4"x6" to 11"x14" and are oil paintings:

Then are two new Christmas Card Collections. There is only one set of each of these so get them before they're gone!

Lastly, are a couple of new paintings that are not seasonal! These are also oil paintings.

Sharing My Art

One thing I've been able to do this week while I'm giving my back time to heal is paint! No, not walls (although I have a few that need it!), but artwork.
In the studio

I'm not good at sharing my art. I don't know why...I guess it feels like I'm bragging or something. But seriously, I love to create beautiful, whimsical, or thought-provoking art.

Occasionally, I do a "paint and sip" type paint party too. (Those are great fun. I want to give people a fun experience with art. So many are intimidated and I want them to know they can create!).

I love doing pet portraits from colorful ones to realistic.

I'm often inspired by my travels.
"Memories of New England"

"Bicycle in an English Garden"

I do paint people but prefer them doing something, not sitting for a photo portrait although I do paint traditional portraits. Children are fun to paint!
"Budding Artist"

"Megan - 2 1/2 years old"

"Snow Angel"

Fantasy - my favorite. I get to use my imagination. :o)
"Midnight's Journey"

Thought-provoking - this one is titled "The Battle For Her Dreams". Do you feel like you've had to fight to hold onto your dreams? How many have you lost or held onto?

Objects with character (old, rusty, you get the idea).
Old wagon wheel

Food and Flowers.
Yummy Dessert - palette knife technique

Poppies

Greeting cards and signs too.

I sell mostly word of mouth but I'm looking for another avenue this year.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing some of my artwork. If you'd like to see more, you can click on My Artwork on the side bar or go to www.ceciliabramhall.com.

Happy creating!

Cecilia

Exciting finds!

I started to name this post "hooked on thrifting" but decided against it as I didn't want to tip off Mr. B. ha! (No, really dear, I'm not, I promise - hiding my crossed fingers behind my back) :o) It is so much fun to see what you can find.

Anyway, I dropped in our local GW this week and look what I found- all for under $20!

A large grapevine wreath ($4 - can't buy one this size for that!), a couple of small rustic Christmas signs (forgot to take pictures of them -they'll show up in a later post), this cute little basket....

Boxes that look like old suitcases:

Not sure I'm going to leave them original. I like the shoe design but I was thinking of painting them with my own design. They're cute though...

And then this little toolbox. I've seen so many posts on these things and this one is just screaming for a makeover.

It's little and was someone's first project. See, it says so on the bottom.

I don't know who Noble is and if he ever made anything else but thanks! I'll enjoy making this into something for the B Farm or to use in the art studio. Hopefully, I can work on it this week as I'm trying to get ready for ChalkWalk in Round Rock the first weekend in October. I'll be selling my Christmas cards, prints of my artwork, and some of my originals. You can see them here and here

I will be taking a break next weekend to go to Canton's First Monday Trade Days. My daughter, sister,  and niece are going with me. Mr. B declined, imagine that! :) Can't wait to see what I can find. Let the fun begin!

Have a blessed and relaxing weekend!

Springtime Projects 3: Have A Seat!

It might still be Spring, but here in Texas, things are starting to heat up and feel like Summer. I knew I needed to get the last of my Spri...
