A Quick, Fun Project

I have a friend who recently realized her dream of owning an RV. What fun!

She sent me a text one day saying she'd seen this cute saying:

"RV There Yet?"

I instantly knew I wanted to make her a sign with that saying on it.

To begin, I pulled out some old fence pickets and got busy. A few hours later and ta da!

a cute RV sign:

I had so much fun with hers, I am making a second one:

It is put together and ready to paint. This one will get a different color and saying. It too, will go to someone who has just recently bought their RV!

Neither know I am doing this...well, until they read this post. LOL. So surprise!! I hope you like your signs. Sorry, Denise, you'll have to wait to see yours finished. :o)

I know they are all going to have a blast traveling in their RVs. Let the good times roll, y'all!

:o)

  4. Cecilia ! We use that saying, too ! We got an RV when mom and dad left us. They used to travel in their RV and when we were free to do the same, we got one. We don't get away very much, but we try to use it every year. So far, multiple trips to Santa Fe, a small trip to a renaissance festival here in Texas, and all the way to Michigan to meet my birth family. Let me know when you start selling your signs. They are the cutest ! (hint hint... my birthday's in August!) tee hee ! Just kidding. sort of. SNORK!

    1. Oh Patty! You're so funny. :) but seriously, if you really want one, email me. I've had a lot of fun making these. My husband thinks a tent is the only way to go so I am left out of the RV experience. Oh well. We now have the farm!
What Renaissance fair did you go to?

    1. Thanks, Karen! I really do enjoy things like this...I mean I love the complicated oil pAinting but it's nice to have something that goes quickly. I did wood stuff long before I jumped into painting so this is like getting back to my roots. Lol
