New Art Opportunity

I've excited to share my new art opportunity!

Have you heard of the Painting parties - you know, the ones where you bring your own beverage (usually wine) and you get to do a fun painting?

Well, our neighbor at the farm with the vineyard asked if I'd be willing to do a class in the vineyard. Oh fun! Of course!

I told my art instructor about it and there's the possibility of me teaching them at the art school for Ladies Night.

And then I had friends ask if I'd come to their homes and do a party there. Sure! Have party supplies, will travel. :-)

I've been a busy bee gathering supplies and coming up with the paintings.

I'm having a blast! My friend, Cindy, fixed up my apron for me along with this cute towel.

Bruce helped me put all my easels together.
A table full of easels
And I have my first official booking! Thank you, Denise! We're going to paint my "Vino" painting.

I'm waiting to hear back on when the vineyard party will be offered. Have to work around the weddings and other events.

I don't know where this will take me but it's going to be a fun ride! I'm hoping it turns into a business for my art studio at the farm. But the best thing about it? I get to share my love of painting with others.

:o) Cecilia

  3. How fun! I wish If I lived closer, I'd be there. You are going to be great at this and I have a feeling it will turn into a business for you. you have such a sweet personality and I know people will love you! It would be especially fun to do this with small groups in their homes. My friends and I did this last year at one of our homes and it was so fun. We just pulled up the picture we wanted to paint on the internet and jumped in. I have been wanting to do it again. Maybe this summer. Good luck and have fun with it! :)

    1. Thanks, Shirley! They're quite popular. You get your friends, bring some wine and snacks, then paint a cute picture. My spin on it is a "Home/Destination" party. I'm looking forward to it!

Fortunately, these don't take a lot of talent...just the ability to follow along. It's supposed to be fun not stressful. :o) They always all turn out good!

    1. Thanks, Doreen. I sure hope so. It's a little harder to explain a process than just do it. It will be fun though! :)

  8. I just tried but it said I was already subscribed and wouldn't let me. Oh well. I'll check in from time to time anyway.

Hope you had a relaxing weekend at the farm!

  9. I did get it Cecilia! It seems it was buried on page 4 of my emails, next to your other posts. Looks like they've decided to group all the posts together, which is strange but at least the mystery is solved. (Do you have your contact info somewhere? I was going to email you instead but couldn't find it).
